Yoga Poses For Sculpted Arms
Let’s face it, bicep curls aren’t that much fun. While building upper body strength is really good for you, it can be a bit boring. How are you to avoid those flabby arms if you aren’t lifting weights? Look no further than your next yoga class for some major arm sculpting moves.
Let’s get this one out of the way early! Crow is an arm balance that rests your weight on your upper arms. This type of balance not only requires full body balance and strength, it majorly targets those biceps and triceps! A few rounds of crow and your arms will feel cooked and will be looking long and lean in no time!
While this is a major back bend and will seriously up your spinal flexibility, it also requires a serious amount of upper body strength. Having the ability to lift your body up into this back bend and hold it will build strength and endurance in the arms.
This downward dog variation is a great one for building strength in the arms and shoulders. By lifting one leg up, your weight and balance centers are shifted and require the arms to pick up the slack to keep things aligned.
Intense East Stretch
This pose really works the triceps! Holding the body up in this position will lead to some seriously sculpted arms and a bonus for the back side too, as this one needs the glutes to stay aligned.
Using yoga to help sculpt the body is a great way to see quick results. Not only will the arms get a major benefit, the rest of the body and the mind will see changes too! So get to yoga and watch your arms transform!
As with any exercise, it is best to be mindful of how your body feels when you move. If you notice pain or soreness for more than a day or two it may be best to discontinue exercise and seek the advice of a qualified physician.
