How To Conquer Your First Spin Class
With group fitness becoming all the rage, it is only a matter of time before you find yourself wandering into a spin studio. Walking into a spin studio can be a bit nerve-wracking. From figuring out how to set up your bike, to what the various types of movement are and everything in between, you may feel a bit less nervous if you follow these steps.
Admit You Are a Newbie
Seriously, the instructors and support staff at the studio are there to help! From setting up your bike to answering your questions, they have you covered! Their insider knowledge will not just help you, it will leave you feeling like a pro who can enjoy the experience of the class!
Learn How To Set Up Your Bike
Since you have already admitted you are new and asked for help, odds are that you’ve been shown how to set up your bike! Try your best to remember the setup that works for you. Adjusting your seat and handlebars will help you avoid any pain points after class!
Learn To Clip In And Out
This one is important! Clipping into your pedals will help you build a stable foundation and will allow you to pedal in a safe and secure way! Once you have clipped in and cycled your way to sweat-town, you need to be able to unclip your shoes from the pedal! Clipping in and out comes with practice so try your best to get this one down so you don’t get stuck!
These three tips will make your spin class more enjoyable and you will feel confident no matter what studio you enter! If all else fails, just have as much fun as you can, you will hear some good music, get a good workout and feel great!
